I see a years worth of mediocre systems support, some smart users, and a whole number of frustrated users who wasted their time. I am disappointed that this obvious and known problem was not published by AVG. After I figured it out I searched and found this discussion. When all of that failed I started thinking instead of looking for internet geniuses and solved the firewall problem myself. I wasted time attempting the meaningless solutions for unistalling/reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, ipconfig, etc. Wrong! My internet connection too was severed by the combination of AVG and Microsoft. I delayed my upgrade to Windows 10 to let these things work themselves out. I find this entire thing completely dispicable.
